4th Annual Mother's Day event

On May 4th, Shine A Light 21 hosted its 4th annual Mother's Day event, bringing awareness to Lupus and honoring our brave Lupus Warrior, Erin Grace. The event was a tremendous success, filled with community spirit and activities that brought joy and support to everyone involved.

The day kicked off with an exciting girls' basketball game, showcasing amazing talent and sportsmanship. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of games and delicious food, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere for all.

A highlight of the event was the awarding of two scholarships to deserving high school students, helping them to further their education and dreams. We also took a moment to honor three dedicated members of Shine A Light 21 who have supported Cheri Wims throughout her four years of impactful work in raising awareness and supporting the unhoused.

During the event, we shared more about the mission and achievements of Shine A Light 21, including the number of people we were able to feed this year and the amount of money raised to continue our efforts. This year’s contributions and participation have been overwhelming, demonstrating the strength and generosity of our community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed up, donated, and supported this cause. Your involvement and generosity make our work possible. We couldn't have done it without you!

Together, we continue to Shine A Light on homelessness and support those affected by challenging conditions.
